Every travel bag I make begins the same way — a pair of hands, a spool of thread, and the belief that the things we take with us on our journeys should be made with love, not stamped out by a machine.
After 30 years at my sewing table, it's time to go home.
My grandmother taught me to quilt at her kitchen table, and I've spent three decades pouring that little craft into every duffle and travel bag I've ever made. Now it's time to retire — my granddaughter is growing up fast, and I don't want to miss a single moment of it.
